A site everyone can use
The COVID pandemic forced a wholesale shift in how community level services are delivered, including how community information could be provided. These fundamental changes accelerated a need for new ways of working. Working with the Improvement Service we have developed a service that delivers websites with a consistent look and feel. We are offering supported, accessible, environmentally-friendly and consistent websites - designed specifically for community councils.
Web sites for Community Councils
Make it easier for your residents to find out who you are and what you do, encouraging them to join your activities and participate in community consultations. Our solution also makes it much easier for a local authority to share notices and information with multiple community councils. A standard format means that residents across a local authority area will not need to re-learn where to find information as they move between sites.
The sites are very simple to set up and maintain and our team of volunteers will be on hand to support you. You can see an example site in use by Morningside Community Council , the first community council to go live with the solution. Hear what they have to say - click here
In the overview meeting the STA team will walk you through:
Setting up the site - how to go about adding meeting minutes, local news
Understanding the accessibility requirements (to ensure your website can be used by as many of your residents as possible)
How we will then make the site live
How the support and maintenance will work
Give you an estimate of the time you will need to invest to get the site live
The costs and commercial arrangements
Other satisfied clients include Birse and Ballogie Community Council.
Is this just another website ? No …
We will be working with the regional federation of community councils and the Improvement Service to ensure that the sites meet the on-going needs of the community councils as our world evolves. Our next release will offer you a method to push out a digital community consultation! To find out more - please register your interest!
